We love Friday the 13th immensely. Even the worst of the lot (Jason Takes Manhattan fronting the charge) still entertains us because were emotionally invested in Jason Voorhees. And how can we not be This is todays Dracula or Frankenstein or The Wolf Man. Hes an iconic antagonist that will be remembered reimagined and reinvented another dozen times in this lifetime. And he deserves it. The Friday the 13th franchise deserves to continue marching forward thriving stealing the hearts of the next generation of viewers. Its the kind of franchise that actually means something (interesting given its clearly exploitative roots) to fanatics and thats why this slice of news is so important.
