Its hard to summarize thoughts when you learn that an absolutely adored work from a cherished author is about to spawn a sequel that has nothing to do with said author. The late (and truly great) Richard Matheson (who also wrote Stir of Echoes a number of Twilight Zone episodes and Duel among many others) penned the original novel which inspired more than a single film (The Last Man on Earth comes highly recommended). Matheson who passed away last year had no part in the writing of the proposed script for I am Legend 2.
